Developing opportunities for the creation of wealth within poor communities is at the heart of poverty alleviation. We can create an enterprise fund, a pool of money from which we will support enterprising initiatives in the communities within which we operate, helping them to greater self sufficiency.
We can develop adequate training and mentoring programmes to support the people we give monies to. We can develop ethical 'fair trade' protocols to ensure the enterprises we help build embrace both community and environmental needs as well as support individuals and their families.
